 Topaz Aditia is a guitarist / string and woodwind instruments enthusiast since early of his teenage life. He is one of those “free-spirited” musicians who prefer not to be categorized by any particular music genre to describe his own style. His playing style covers from country-rock fusion to free jazz. The names like Eddie Van Halen, Jeff Beck, John McLaughlin, Allan Holdsworth, Danny Gatton, and Steve Morse, are some of what he called role models. Topaz is also widely known as a guitar teacher for more than 10 years. He enrolled to Musicians Institute, California, majoring in GIT (Guitar Institute of Technoloy) short after finishing a study at NGW, National Guitar Workshop. Graduated in 1996 from Musicians Institute, he began to work professionally as a performer and session studio musician. In addition, he has also involved on scoring music for local Indonesian TV series and commercials. Currently, he is still pursuing an advanced study in banjo.
